Freelance: Imogen Fawkes Ltd

Imogen runs a 'slow fashion' brand, a carefully curated collection of designs which are sewn to order. I initially began work with her to support her manufacturing of corsets and bags. She would provide me with embroidered fabric which I would cut, sew, and embellish into finished pieces to her specification ready for sale online and in London pop-up shops.

Some designs were seen worn by Izzy Baxter of Black Honey, and The Last Dinner Party

This partnership blossomed, and Imogen recruited me to translate her artistic sketches into patterns and sample pieces for a new collection outside of the brand's staple of corsets.

It has been an entirely collaborative approach enhancing the brand aesthetic and designer's vision by incorporating dramatic silhouettes, ruffles, and ribbons.

I provided six high-quality samples, including a yoked skirt with ruffles, and a peplum-style bodice, which are yet to be finalised. The Puff Sleeve Top above was recently launched for market testing.
